About WinFax
WinFax PRO is an award winning and best selling Windows based fax software. It was developed by the Canadian software company Delrina Technologies in the early 1990s. Delrina, along with the flagship product WinFax PRO, was purchased by Symantec Corporation in July 1995. Symantec continued to develop and support WinFax PRO until it no longer fit Symantec’s security business model, and sales of the software & technical support were discontinued in June 2006.
While there have been some advances in fax technology since the 1990s, many still send and receive faxes the same way they did 20 years ago, using a standard fax modem and WinFax fax software. Millions out there are still using this great software package to send and receive faxes today. Its a cost saving alternative to having to pay a third-party to send and receive faxes for you. WinFax PRO cuts out the middleman and can save you hundreds of dollars in service fees and “per page” fax fees.
WinFax PRO is no longer sold directly by Symantec, but the software can still easily be found as overstock and sold by third-parties. One source of software is eBay
