Other printers were working on the old machine including a driver that allowed me to print remotely.

The NEW machine allowed me to install WinFax Pro 10.01 BUT failed on the printer drivers installation. The first message I got was:

Winfax monitor install failed. Error code -> 1805

followed by:

The WinFax Printer add failed Error code -> 1796 PrinterName=WinFax

Then I got the same set of errors for the photo quality driver.

I used your tool set to attempt to add the drivers manually but received the same set of errors. Then I went to the Windows Event Viewer and found the associated error message:

The protocol handler Search.Mapi2Handler.1 cannot be loaded. Error description: Class not registered

I don’t know if any of the other error message information is important. But for the sake of completeness I’ll include it. The source of the reported error is Windows Search Services. It was a Gatherer category and the event ID is 3083.

I also see the same error listed another eight times today alone (although I only attempted to install the pair of drivers a total of three times).

This machine is running XP Pro with Service Pack 2. It should also be noted that this is a 64 bit machine.

Any suggestions on how to get the drivers installed successfully? Thanks for your help.
