MemberWhen I attempt to start WinFax PRO I get a message
“Another user on this computer is using WinFax. Please try again later”
I attempt to start the Controller and the same message appears.
I check the Task Manager and I cannot WinFax running.
There is no other user on the laptop.
I have been using WinFax (disk install) for 5 years and this problem has never arisen previously.
Advice please. Thanks

KeymasterDo you know what version of WinFax? (10.0,10.01,10.02,10.03?)
What operating system? Windows XP? SP2? SP3?
Does this problem continue to occur after rebooting the computer?

I would suggest a re-install of WinFax PRO. Please see the above document regarding this process if the uninstall fails or if you cannot uninstall/reinstall because of warning messages.
Here is a link to the Norton Removal Tool

PLEASE READ THE Warning on its usage!!!!Edited By Moderator on 1210647218
