    WINFAX 10.0 “call failed error message” with lightning bolt always requires restart for program to start accepting again. Please help.

    more info please. when does it fail? have you removed the failed entry (drag and drop to the wastebasket)?
    Rebuilt logs?

    will not allow me to move to wastebasket until I shut down/restart prevents all incoming till I do this has been going on 3 years – thanks for reply.

    rebuilding your logs using the rebuild utility should correct this.
    if your log is very large, this can also be a problem. This only correct the problem after you have a failed event that is stuck with the “lightning bolt” icon.
