WinFAX Pro 10.03 has worked on my computer for three years, but I have not been able to receive a fax since Dec 22.
I can send, but not receive. When a fax comes in, WF answers and handshakes, but no fax is received. Sometimes it hangs, and instead of getting a X or a checkmark, I get a squiggly icon that does not go away when I reboot and cannot be deleted, but can be moved to the trash. I use Zonealarm 5 for firewall and have turned it off.
The problem started at about the time I installed IE7 and several other Microsoft updates. Suggestions please.

Eset NOD32 antivirus systemDo you have the latest drivers for this modem? I believe they were released in September 2006 according to Modemsite.com
I would try that first. Check with the manufacturer of your PC if the modem was bundled with that. They may have the proper download so you can update the modem drivers for Windows XP
