    Hi there,
When I try to install WinFax Macro (by double clicking on InstallMacro.exe and hit ‘Install’ button) I get below error.

“Error 52 Bad file name or number Please contact technical support'”

I’m using Word 2000 and Windows XP, login user has admin rights to the local computer.

Why do I get this error? What exactly install program does?
Is it because Word has any restrictions?
    How do I resolve this?

    Thanks,
    Chandi

Is WinFax installed for the user logged on, and does it work?

if automatic install does not work, you can manually install the macros by copying the wfword2k.dot file to the “startup” directory under Word.

For more info on manual installation, see
