When I open a PDF document in Adobe Acobat Professional 8.0 and I try to send to WinFax Pro 10.03 I get the following error:

Winfax is not active for this User Account. Please start controller and try again.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

make sure wfxsnt40.exe is running (active in your task list) or else WinFax will not print properly.

wfxsnt40.exe is found in your WIndowsSystem32 or WinNTSystem32 directory.

I have no problem printing from MS Word or other documents but only when I open PDF documents in Adobe or try and print from an Epson scanner connected by USB.

    And yes wfxsnt40.exe is running.

    Anything else?

    TIA

I just installed Adobe Reader v8, and I get the same problem with WinFax PRO 10.03

Winfax is not active for this User Account. Please start controller and try again.

The workaround that worked for me is you need to start the WinFax Controller first, then print to Adobe.

You can’t ask for an easier solution.

    It worked.

Again, this is a great forum for getting all your answers regarding WinFax.

    Thanks.
