What version of Windows are you using? This sounds like a corrupted (or missing ) registry entry,

    Hello,

you will need to delete a registry key specific to the GetFaxing.com macro.

WARNING: Neither GetFaxing nor Microsoft can offer technical support on their products if any incorrect changes have been made to the Windows registry. A mistake could require you to reinstall Windows, and could also result in permanent data loss or corrupted files.

Please make sure you modify only the specified keys. If you are not comfortable editing the registry, please obtain assistance from a professional.

    Exit all open programs.
Click Start, and click Run. The Run dialog box appears.
Type regedit in the Run field, and click OK. The Registry Editor window appears.
Select the following key (you have to click on each one until you find the key “WfxMacro”:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareVB and VBA Program SettingsWfxMacro

Now with the “WfxMacro” entry highlighted in the left-hand side of the window, click on EDIT, DELETE.
Make sure only “WfxMacro” is selected.
Click YES to confirm “Do you want to delete this key?”

Exit the registry and restart Windows.

Now reinstall the “wfxmacro.exe” file you downloaded from the Web site.

Ok, I’ve deleted the key and reinstalled the soft.
Now, I can use ‘Winfax Macro Setup’ to set the macro,
but when I click on print, the Winfax window open and
the fields are not filled (I’m using your style_example.doc file).
The styles (WfxFaxNum, …) are defined in my style select box,
and the number has the good style.
It’s like as if your macro is not called.

    Any idea ?
    Thank You
(If I can run your macro, I’ll buy it 🙂

When I run Word2000, I go to Winfax Macro Setup.
All the checkbox are grey. When I click on all checkbox
(to active them and then check or uncheck the box) and
close the window, then the macro are working.

But then I close word and reopen word and the macro are not
working. I must go again into Winfax macro setup to active all checkbox…

It’s as if when word start, the macro can’t load the config stored
    in the register keys.
But the keys are here (Current usersoftVBWfx MacroSetup) and looks good.

    Any idea ?

do you get any error message again?
and are you logging into Win98 under a different profile/user?
what are your security settings in Word? did you “accept” the macro as a trusted source?

    >> do you get any error message again?
+ If I run word and print to Winfax, I don’t get error, but the macro is not used
+ If I open Winfax Macro Setup and then click OK, I get the error described on the top of this topics
+ If I open Winfax Macro Setup and click on all checkbox, I can close the Setup Windows and then the macro works.

    >> and are you logging into Win98 under a different profile/user?
I’m log under the same user that I used to install the Winfax and the macro

    >> what are your security settings in Word? did you “accept” the macro as a trusted source?

I set the security level to the lower level

I’m going to do some test with profile/user….
