    I am using WinFax PRO 10.02, Windows XP (Home) and an external Fax Modem, D-Link type DFM-562E. When sending faxes (usually in a tranche of 80+, an intermittent fault occurs. The page is about 27% sent, when it fails with the error message ‘Fax/Modem overrun’. Most of the failures go through on the second attempt and all by the third attempt.

    Is this a WinFax problem or with the Modem or something else? Any thoughts on how to solve this problem which has only started on the last couple of weeks.

    try turing off ECM for Sending, and 2D Compression in the Fax Modem Properties.
