i get a message saying install halted because there is a version aready on my laptop. I dont see a file or folder any where on my hard drive and i cant remove it from the add remove control panel.

search for “wfxboot.ini” file on your hard drive. If you find it, delete it. Then try reinstalling. Make sure you search for hidden files and folders as well.
