I recently bought a WinFax Pro 10.03 CD, but cannot install the software. I insert the CD and the opening screen comes up. I then click on Install WinFax 10.03 and nothing happens. I tried the CD on two other computers and the installation began. I have tried running SymCln and Norton Remover but this has not helped. I did have version 10.00 instralled but it interfered with MS Outlook 2003 so I uninstalled it.

Any suggestions?

If you are installing from the CD, then what I suggest is copying the entire “WinFax” folder from the original CD ROM to a temporary folder on the hard drive.

Then, perform a “Clean boot” in Windows XP.

Then, run the WinFax install “setup.exe” from the temporary folder you copied to start the installation process.

Once again you have been a lifesaver. Your suggestion worked like a charm and now a working version of V10.03 is on my computwr and MS Outlook is functioning normally.
