I’ve linked my phonebook to an external source, MS Outlook, and am having problems with long distance dialing. How do I get WinFax to dial a 1 before the phone number outside my area code?

make sure your dialing rules are defined, under Dialing and Location setup. You should have a long distance access code of 1 and 011 for international calls set. Your country code should be set to USA (1) or Canada (1)

your local area code should also be set here, and if using WinFax PRO 10 you should have an “Area Code Rules” button (providing your using WinFax dialing) where you can define how calls are dialing within and outside your area code.
