    soon looking to install winfax into xp from windows 2000 to resolve some send and receive issues. recently winfax tools needs to be online to activate and never required before. is there a way i can use this tool during installation without being connected to the internet? i have dail up internet which uses the modem and winfaxpro cant use modem while modem is used for internet.

    You do not have to be always connected. There are some features that may require internet connection but most will not.
    So you can use WinFax Tools and then disconnect from the internet , and install WinFax PRO .
