    My winfax is set to answer after 2 rings. I have tried tochange thi to 3 or 4 rings but when I try put the new number in, the option window goes away. How can I fix this so I can change the numer of rings?

    Is this part of tools one that has to be paid for? I was asked to enter information I don’t have.

    Yes, you need a current subscription to use the WinFax Tools features.

    Alternatively, you could do the following to edit the # of rings.
    If you are familiar with the Windows Registry, you can go to Regedit and find the location this key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREDelrinaWinFax7.0Modem Dependent FeaturesRings

    The default is 2, Change the value of Rings to 3 or 4

    is replaced with your actual modem name as it appears in WinFax. For example: “Generic SoftK56”
