“. I am getting this error message even there are NO detectable WinFax files on the computer and in the registry: “WinFax PRO has detected that you need to set up a TCP/IP protocol which is used by the Fax Sharing feature in WinFax PRO.”Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

KeymasterAre you receiving this error message when you attempt to reinstall WinFax PRO? or after you’ve reinstalled?
This error message appears when you are attempting to use the “Fax Sharing” feature of WinFax PRO. It can occur when the TCP/IP settings are not properly installed, or if you have TCp/IP v6 installed.
If you removed all the WinFax files from the system, and removed registry entries you may still have the following WinFax related files starting up automatically with Windows.
disable the WinFax Service (if active) (wfxsvc.exe from windows folder)
remove “WinFax Controller” (wfxctl32.exe) from the Startup.
remove “Configuration Wizard” (wtnsetup.exe) from startup. -
