Is there any difficulty searching the content of fax text (as opposed to sender, subject etc) using the Windfax find command? I have always had trouble and wonder whether there is any way, perhaps by using other software.

received fax files (FXR) are graphic files which contain no searchable text. There is no way to easily search for text from these files as they are simply graphic files (much like a JPG or BMP type image)
There are programs that can find and decode text on a graphic image, they are called OCR. WinFax has a built in OCR that can convert the image file to a text file, but the results vary and are limited to what quality of fax you’ve received.
