    Hi All.

Is it possible to get winfax pro 10.04 (Acting as a host) to send the fax that it receives (Forward it) to an email address? – in the same way that the windows fax service does.

    Thank you and Regards

    yes and no,

yes you can configure it to connect with Outlook (I’ve used Outlook Express successfully) to automatically forward all received faxes as a FXM file. The FXM file can then be viewed on any PC with WinFax or at least the MiniViewer installed. Outlook has built in security preventing outside applications accessing it, so you have to turn this feature off in Outlook if you want WinFax to do this without user intervention.
There are other e-mail clients (Lotus, Eudora) you can use, but I haven’t tested them fully.

yes you can configure SMTP in WinFax to send an outgoing email, but this doesn’t always work – it really depends on your outgoing email server, and what options it requires. WinFax will only accept an outgoing email server name, plus login and password.
