MemberWe upgraded Quickbooks and somehow it effected Win Fax. 10.2 We cannot attach pages to be faxed, we get the error message ‘WinFax not active for this user’
When we cancel ‘send’ the program locks up the computer…need to reboot.

ThanksIf you get the error “WinFax is not active for this account” you need to make sure you start the WinFax Controller first before attempting to print a fax to WinFax.
Also, with version 10.02 and above, make sure that WFXSNT40.EXE and WFXSWTCH.EXE processes are being started with Windows. They are required to use WinFax.

i do not find wfxsnt40.exe, but do find wfxswtch.exe
Winfax is always on.
How do I install / find the missing file?We also get a “can’t initialize MAPI ” sometimes.

For Windows 2000, NT and Windows XP, wfxsnt40.exe is located in your WINDOWS directory. (or WINNT directory)
WFXSNT40.EXE It is not required for Windows 95/98/SE
It should appear in your STARTUP list for Windows.
If you are using WinFax PRO 10.02 or higher, you should also have WFXSWTCH.EXE in your startup group.
(This file is located in your WinFax directory) -
