Is it possible to have winfax pro use more than one modem at the same time on my Win XP PC.
I have two lines, and hopefully I can install a second modem.
I am hoping to make faxing to multiple destinations faster.
I use faxes for markerting purposes.
I am wondering if somebody has tried this before I go thorugh the hassle.
    Thanks.

Yes, WinFax PRO 10 will support 2 modems and will send and or receive at the same time.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have already tried it and had to struggle with a number of fax/modem cards before I could get it to work. I found a document in the support area on Symantec site explaining things about using different types of cards (or different drivers) and the use of “TAPI” and “COM?” combination.

Anyway, it was a good exercise and I am glad with the result now that everything is working fine.

Thank you once again for your reply.

Yes, two of the same modems might give you problems but if you use two different modems you might be better off. I recommend buying old EXTERNAL modems from eBay, such as the Supra 28.8KBps Fax Modem or the 14KBps Fax Modem. Get a dual serial port in your PC and hook them up. It works great.
