I used Winfax 9.03 in Win98, and all incoming faxes came in individual windows, leaving the earlier incoming in its own open window.
Now when I installed Winfax 9.03 in winxp home, everyincoming fax closes the earlier incoming window and opens a new one…but only one window is open. so i have to go to msg mgr to check for earlier incoming faxes.

how can this be resolved?

Do you have the Tools, Setup, Receive, View option turned on?

I don’t recall multiple windows being opened, this may be a problem — if you receive a lot of faxes, you could end up with no resources because too many windows are open.(thus you won’t be able to receive any more faxes) In my opinion, the way it is working now is how it should work.

that’s odd.. i actually prefer that the windows stay open for each fax…that way i know all my new faxes rather than going to msg mgnr each time.

so how is it that its so for Win98 and not for WinXP?

there may be a change in the windows api from windows 98 -> windows xp/nt/2000.
