    Dear All

    If i have set up winfax on a 98 pc and have all XP clients on the network is it possible to use the xp fax client to send faxes to the winfax server? Sorry if this is a stupid question but someone said it could be done. Also do i need a copy of winfax for each client if i used winfax as the client softwar for faxing instead of xp.

    No, you cannot use XP’s Fax Client to send faxes to a WinFax PRO Host (Server). What you will need to do is install WinFax on each XP machine so it can communicate with the WinFax Host you have configured on the Windows 98 machine.

    You need to ensure the Windows 98 machine it set up as a Host and each client is setup to link to the Host machine (as clients)
