When I reboot my computer WINFAX Modem software starts as an application. I just reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled Windows XP and then all my programs including WIN FAX PRO 9.03. Before I reformatted my hard drive, this program did not start. How can I prevent it from starting until I send a FAX which is seldom? If I can’t I will have to look to alternatives for WIN FAX PRO.
Our WinFaxtools.exe download can automatically disable the “WinFax Service” from starting with Windows (for Premium Subscribers only)
or you can go into Services in Control Panel and locate the WinFax PRO Service and Disable it from Startup.
This will prevent “wfxsvc.exe” and “Wfxmod32.exe” from starting with Windows.
You should still have “wfxsnt40.exe” starting with Windows XP at all times, it is required.
