MemberI have the older version 10.0 Winfax an am running windows Xp Sp2 and would like to install winfax again. I do not have the upgrade to winfax 10.3 or 10.4. I called symantec and they told me they no longer have any upgrades for winfax. Ant ideas where I can get the upgrade for my product. I want to use this for recieving faxes as it keeps a copy of the recieved fax for later viewing or printing.
Thanks for any helpMarch 19, 2008 at 6:34 pm #5316Administrator
KeymasterYou don’t require 10.02 or higher for Windows XP SP2, version 10 will install in most cases without problem.
Otherwise, you will need to obtain WinFax PRO from a third-party software vendor that has old stock available. You can try on-line from some of the vendors advertising in the Google ad-pages.

MemberThanks for the reply but what is the differance between the 10.0 and the 10.3 when you go to the winfax symantec site it says not to use the 10.0 on windows xp sp2?

Keymasterthere are some fixes in 10.03 to support Windows XP specific features such as Fast User Switching .
We have clients using WinFax PRO 10 on Windows XP SP2 without problem .
It doesn’t hurt to upgrade to 10.03.
