We use WinFax Pro on a computer on our server and email faxes to individuals. We use the Mini Viewer provided by Symantec to view the faxes. On two of our computers, the mini viewers have mysteriously stopped working. I have removed and reinstalled miniview.exe and it is still not working.

On one computer, when you try to open a fax attachment, the miniviewer opens, but nothing is displayed. On the other computer, the mini viewer does not even open, the user is asked which program they want to use to view the fax and the Mini Viewer is not even listed.

Frustrating!!

Any ideas?

Did you reinstall using the install package (not the single executable file)
as available here

That seemed to do the trick. I didn’t try that option because Symantec said to only do that if you are using WinFax Pro version earlier than 10. thanks so much for the advice and the link!!
