After installing WinFax Pro 10.03 on a new PC running Windows XP (SP2), the internal setup program locks up, so that we are unable to do simple things such as silencing the fax/modem, setting dialing and location options, etc. I recall this happening once before and Symantec had a simple fix for it in the knowledgebase on their website. Of course, that information is gone now and I can’t find the note on the fix. Does anyone know how to get WinFax PRO Program Setup up and running? Thanks,

If the problem is when you try to open the WinFax Program Setup (SETUPDCC.EXE) then you can try double-clicking the CPLAPP.REG file in the WinFax folder, then click Yes to merge the data into the registry.
