    I think I know answer but want to make sure before I spend the money. I have been offered a zoom external serial modem v.92. the drawback is it has a lucent chip instead of conexant. currently I have your top choice zoom external serial modem with conexant, formally rockwell chipset( its WORKING GREAT ). I would use the lucent chip on a backup second computer and of course conexant on the main computer. For the back up computer Would the zoom lucent chip external serial modem be better than us robotics modem?

    I don’t have any specific experience with this model (with Lucent chipset) so it is unknown.
