Only added the printer. Winfax was working in conjunction with it just fine before. I did not add any faxing program to my knowledge. Printer was installed 2 mos ago. Winfax problem recent. I can delete printer and re-add it, but dont think that is the problem.

updated driver, verified in API 3 as version that you said it would update to.
    Modem installed on com 3
not sure if other com ports are being used, only other connections are to internet.
recenty installed a wireless printer where faxes are ultimately printed

    no blue orb.

During the reconfig process a message came up stating that there might be a conflict with another device.

Area to select number of rings was greyed out.

restarted machine again, no change .

    reconfiged again.

    still no orb.

checked send and recieve limits. One of the two is at 73% the other at 14%. Erased lots of old faxes. reran tool and numbers did not budge. Did the rebiuld as suggested, except “default.wfb” did not exist, just my-ph-bk.wfb and one other. Problem has dissipated, but not disappeared.

thanks John, winfax 10 act 5.0 (2000). tried the unlink and relink but no good. recognizes status and ID designations in each database but not current lookup. when I did the unlink I started to get messages of coding errors: value [] should not be found in Key, HKLM HK security etc.
