You can try setting the modem type to CLASS 2.0
Communications Port – TAPI initialize at 19,200 bps
Modem Type: Class 2.0otherwise, if it is specific to a few numbers only it may be an issue with the machines you are connecting to.
Perhaps you may want to contact GetFaxing Premium Live Support to troubleshoot this type of issue
Thank you John, that seems to have worked the ones we were having issues with are now working, every now and then it takes a little longer to send some faxes but eventually they do go out, but none are showing up with the train error so that’s good. What would winfax users do without you guys. Again, Thanks for the great help.

Failure to train is a communication error with the other fax modem. The modem could not intiate a proper connection to start the transmission of the fax. Problems could be line noise, or modem setup problem.
What type of fax modem? what are the settings for the modem?
Hi John,
I posted my settings and made sure the drivers were updated, any other suggestions. It seems to only happen with a few fax numbers we send, maybe 6 out of 10 numbers that are faxed to.
Any other help would be appreciated. Thank you.

make sure you installed the most updated modem drivers when you switched to Windows XP.

that is the first step to ensure you have the proper drivers installed for the operating system, and if the specific modem model you are using is compatible with the updated operating system. Some older models are not compatible
Hi,
Even with the updated drivers. It still does it with certain numbers we try to fax to. Any other suggestions?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for the help. I had done all the steps previously but it didn’t work, it turned out the firewall was blocking wfxclt32.exe I allowed what I thought was needed for winfax, I forgot that one file. Anyway, all is working now. Thanks for the help.
