most likely the user rights were changed on this computer. In “user” group in win2k I also got exactly the same problem (see my posting). The only way I found to get over this is either to work in “power user” group or if I insist to work in user group I had to apply the compatibility template to the “user” group rights … a not so simple and safe procedure for a not profficient in win2k.
All other solutions recommended from symantec failed …

mamMemberthank you for your reply …. if I remember well I have tried the item suggested but there is very few things you can do in “user” account of win2k. Certainly you can not install winfax pro and I do not remember what happened when I tried to reinstall the print driver … but I will try again your suggestion and post the results.
Please note that winfax print works normally in “administrator” or “power” user accounts … the problem is with the low priviledge accounts such as “user”.
