I have already done that… just trying to avoid having to pay symantec for anything!

both have version 10.02 installed. running win-xp with sp3 on both. I did update windows firewall to have the controller in the exception list, as is on the host. I tried the disable on the client and still it doesn’t work. Funny how when you set it up, it finds the host but when it tries to talk to it, it doesn’t work. I have basically set up the new computer the same way that the notebook is. Why is it getting the rpc error???

The only way that I can run winfax, is to turn off fax sharing…. why is that???? if I run winfax with sharing turned on, I get that error message, and here is the strange part, the clients, can’t connect to the host since it really is not running…. Why is that message being generated???

I looked at the program and the fix entry program says that it is for the phone book and that is NOT where I am having the problem. I am having the problem where I am to enter the HOST name or IP address… As soon as I tab or click on anything, that window closes.
