Starting Winfax pro 10.03

On starting Winfax Pro it comes up with a message saying another account is using Winfax Pro. I only have one administrator account on the machine. Winfax Pro has worked O.K. for years, I haven't installed or changed anything.

this can happen if you install winfax in one account, and log into another. if you didn't log into windows with another account, then the problem could be that some components are not starting up with windows. This can happen if you've accidentally deleted some WinFax files (possibly done by a Cleaner program in Windows)

More info below...

"This error message can occur with version 10.02 and higher of WinFax PRO that is operating in the Windows XP environment. It does not appear under Windows 2000 or windows 9x environments, or versions 10.0 or 10.01. To determine the version of WinFax PRO you are using, click “WinFax Info” button in WinFax Tools.

Usually, starting the WinFax Controller may correct this problem, in some scenarios you may need to reboot of the computer. If this does not solve the problem, then your installation of WinFax is likely corrupt and needs repair.

If you continue to encounter this error we recommend using the “Fix Start Up Errors” option in WinFax Tools.

link to download winfaxtools is above which requires a subscription
do not download from other sites as they can be malware or links to download other "fix" tools that have nothing to do with WinFax PRO software
