Fixing certificate date for WinFax Pro Ver 8

Postby juridil » Tue Jan 08, 2013 1:25 pm

I just installed a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 on my new computer and also installed WinFax Pro to be able to send faxes. When I start up Word I get an error message that says the certificate is no longer valid and has expired. I realize this is an older version, but it has worked for me before this latest change. Is there any way to update the certificate so I no longer get the message?

the Microsoft Word macro provided by Symantec was digitally signed, but has expired. Since there are no updates to WinFax PRO that have current digital signature. You have a few options:

1. Set your Word 2003 macro security level to low so the message does not appear,

or,
2. If you're familiar with Microsoft Word VBA, Digital Certificates etc. You can self sign the macro for your own personal use, this is more advanced but can be done using the selfcert tool included with Office 2003.
