Hello all…I’m hoping someone else has gone through this and knows all the answers. I have xp sp2, Act 2008, asds fax admin 2008 and currently win fax pro 10.00. I believe i need winfax pro 10.03 to integrate everything. Do i need the actual disc or will download suffice? Do I then update to 10.04? What I am looking to do is send out multiple faxes to my Act contacts along with a PDF attachment.
    Thanks

According to developers of FaxAdmin, it requires WinFax PRO 10.03, however, it should work perfectly fine with version 10.0 because this version did not have Software Development Kit (SDK) problems with it. Only version 10.02 will NOT work, because of a bug that existed in the SDK . You should contact them if you can use version 10.0. I don’t use FaxAdmin, so I can’t say for sure. ASDS Computer should be able to answer your question, as they developed FaxAdmin.

Version 10.03 is not an upgrade, it is a new installation of WinFax PRO, so you cannot just download a update from 10.0 to 10.03. Also, 10.04 is a specific update for 10.03 that you can download, its only used for Fax Sharing and Windows XP — It is NOT recommended for anything else.

Step by step instructions on using FaxAdmin with ACT! and WinFax PRO 10.03 is available here

Also, it should be noted that…

Prior to ACT! version 2005 (ACT! 6.03 and prior), WinFax PRO users could utilize their ACT! database as a WinFax PRO phone book. Unfortunately, this integration is no longer
available as of version 7.x or above. However, by using the Fax Blast tool in FaxAdmin, you can use your lookup in ACT! to send faxes from other programs out of WinFax PRO.
