I have recently started using WinFax and am now running into some issues with sending out a mass fax to a large group of my clients. I have imported an address list (containing Clients name and Fax Number). Here’s the problem:

Winfax does not add the ‘1’ before I send the faxes so it does not work (in fact sometimes it adds 1-905 before my number even if my number already contains an area code!?), though I have went through the dialing properties and am sure that is all set up properly (does having two communication devices setup up in winFax affect this?). The database that I imported is rather messy, as it has some numbers with only the Fax# + Area code, others have the full number plus the country code and then a few numbers are lacking the local 905 area code. Should I simplify the DB to have 1 standard number formating or can winfax work around this?

    Thanks,

setup depends on your dialing mode, you can setup either Windows dialing or WinFax dialing in WinFax. If you set it to Windows dialing, Winfax will use the settings you have configured in Windows. If you use WinFax dialing, you have to configure the dialing rules in WinFax. You need to ensure all the phonebook entries have the correct information in the correct fields (area code, long distance access number etc…etc..)
