    Windows XP SP2 breaks the connectivity between a Winfax sharing client and a Winfax sharing host. Although the setup wizard on the client can find and validate a client successfully, it will fail latter on. No faxes from a Winfax sharing client machine can go out.

    After uninstalling SP2 , I was able to make Winfax work again. When using windows with service pack 1 i can connect normally. The server where Winfax sharing server is located is running under Windows Server 2003

    Have you set the permissions in the windows firewall that is part of XP SP2?
