When I try to configure my calling card, I just can’t do it.

It keeps doing the same: the Program Setup window just closes once I want to introduce my calling card number on the text box.

I’ve seen many others that had the same problem, but I can’t find any posts with a proper solution.

    Help will be appreciated.

This problem may be due to using non-default settings for the Windows Regional, Time Zone, and Language configuration.

To configure the Regional, Time Zone, and Language settings:

Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    Verify the time setting:
Open the properties for Date and Time settings:
If you see the Date and Time icon, double-click it.
If you do not see the Date and Time icon:
In the left pane, click Switch to Classic view.
Double-click the Date and Time icon.
Click the Date &Time Zone tab. Make sure that the date and time are set correctly.
    Click the Time Zone tab.
In the drop-down box, ensure that the time zone that is displayed is the correct one for your area. Change it, if needed.
    Do one of the following:
If you did not make any changes, close the dialog box and go on to step 7.
If you made changes, click Apply and then click OK.
    Verify the Regional setting:
Double-click the Regional and Language Options icon in the Control Panel.
    Click the Regional Options tab.
Make sure English is selected in the drop-down menu box.
    Verify the Language setting:
    Click the Languages tab.
If it is checked, then uncheck “Install files for East Asian Languages.”
Click Apply and then click Close.
Restart the Computer and test WinFax PRO.

If that doesn’t work then it may be a registry problem with the dialing / locations settings

    Back up the registry key

Exit all open programs, and stop the WinFax PRO service if you are running Windows NT.
Click Start, and click Run. The Run dialog box appears.
Type regedit in the Run field, and click OK. The Registry Editor window appears.
    Select the following key:

Click Registry, and click Export Registry File. The Export Registry file dialog box appears.
Select C: from the Save In drop-down list.
In the File Name field, type a name for the registry key you are exporting. Do not add an extension to the end of the file name.
Click Save. The registry key is saved to the C: drive.
NOTE: To import a registry key , double-click the exported key on the C: drive. You will receive a message indicating that the key has been successfully entered into the registry.

    Delete the registry key
In the Registry Editor, locate and select the following key:

Press Delete. The Registry key is deleted.
Exit the Registry Editor and restart Windows.

    Set Up Dialing Information
In the WinFax PRO or TalkWorks PRO Program Setup, double-click Dialing and Location
    Click the Location tab.
    Enter the required dialing information.
    Click OK, and click Close.
