    Hi all,

I have Winfax 10.02 , Win XP , Outlook XP.
    OL is integrated into WF.
Winfax had been installed on 12/2002 and ran
    without any problem.
All of the sudden we start to have Tapi problem
which we solve by elimanating some software.
Than a new problem came that is when I reboot the C WF will start to set up. This reset requires to reconfigure
    Winfax for every shut down.
How you can eliminate this new set up?
    Thanks

To solve this problem, delete the following files:

    Wfxboot.ini
    Wfxinst.log
The shortcut to the Configuration Wizard in the Startup folder
Wtnsetup.exe (or shortcut to Wtnsetup.exe) in the ..WindowsPrefetch folder (if it exists)

To locate and delete these files:
    1. Close the WinFax Controller.
    2. Click Start.
    3. Click Search.
    4. Make sure that “Look in” is set to “All drives” or to (C:).
    5. Click the “Advanced Options” arrow.
    6. Make sure that “Search system folders”, “Search hidden files and folders”, and “Search subfolders” are all checked.
    7. Click All files and folders.
    8. In the “All or part of the file name box” type–or copy and paste–the following:

    Wfxboot.ini
    Wfxinst.log

    9. Click Search. The results are displayed. For each of these files (if found), right-click the file, and then click delete. Confirm the deletion, if prompted.
    10. Close the Search dialog box.
    11. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder:

    C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersStart MenuProgramsStartup

    12. Locate and delete the shortcut to the Configuration Wizard file, if it exists. Confirm the deletion, if prompted.
    13. Navigate to the ..WindowsPrefetch folder. If the folder does not exist, then skip to step 14. If the folder exists, then delete any instances of Wtnsetup.exe or shortcuts to Wtnsetup.
    14. Close the Explorer window.
    15. Restart Windows.

If the problem persists, then remove the reference to Wtnsetup.exe from the Run key in the registry.

To remove the reference in the registry:

CAUTION: We strongly recommend that you back up the system registry before making any changes. Incorrect changes to the registry could result in permanent data loss or corrupted files. Modify only the keys that are specified. Read the document How to back up the Windows registry before proceeding.

    1. Click Start, and then click Run.
    2. Type regedit and then click OK. The registry editor appears.
    3. Navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun

    4. In the frame on the right, right-click the entry for WTNSetup.exe.
    5. Click Delete.
    6. Navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun

    7. In the frame on the right, right-click the entry for WTNSetup.exe.
    8. Click Delete.
    9. Close the Registry Editor.
    10. Restart Windows.

If the problem still continues, then completely remove WinFax PRO from the system. Reinstall the program with all programs and utilities closed
