MemberI use Talkworks Pro2.0 on an office computer(Windows 2000) to log and record incoming messages from customers and employees. 3 days ago the call logging screen disappeared after a power fluctuation caused an unattended reboot. Answering still works but I cannot see to click on any of the calls. I uninstalled and reloaded and still have the same symptom. Please advise.

KeymasterDo you have “Call Logging” options enabled in the TalkWorks PRO Program Setup?

MemberAs far as I know it is enabled. I’m 2 hrs away on business, but I’ll check it in the AM. Thanks for the tip. If that doesn’t fix it I’ll be back.

MemberI did think of another troublesome symptom of the undiagnosed problem; when I clicked on the desktop icon for Talkworks Pro Message Mgr nothing happened. So, I went to the Start/ All programs/Talkworks Pro and the dropdown list of options appeared. These are “controller, install directory, program setup, talkworks pro ans machine, talkworks pro message mgr and talkworks pro telephone. Clicking on any one of the brought nothing to the screen.

KeymasterIts possible that the send and receive logs are corrupt,
I would first make a back up copy of your WinFax or TalkWorks folder with all your data,
and ensure that the Controller and Fax Manager are shut down. (wfxctl32.exe and faxmng32.exe ) as well as the TalkWorks telephone if you use it.In the WinFax or TalkWorks folder, you should have a file called rebuild.bat, run this file and then select the “status.wfb” file from the list of files.
This should rebuild your log structure.
After you do this, reboot the PC and try starting TalkWorks again.
