Hi all,
I would like to send faxes from a script running neither from and asp web page, nor from a convert tool.
All this runs as service account.
Once (ages ago) one told that montor sould not work as a service…
Any more info ?
Does it work ? Fails ?
This is for an NT Server that would send faxes from scripts, using sdk commands to a winfax server (not the same computer)
Any clues for that ?
Kind regardsMarch 29, 2002 at 2:43 am #4233AnonymousMemberyou need to have the controller active (user logged on) for the sdk functions to work, plus you need to execute those commands from the same PC.
April 9, 2002 at 8:33 am #4234AnonymousMemberHi,
I just get to my running services… and just noticed 2 :
wfxsvc
wfxsnt
I used a small vbscript and it automatically launched the convert of my attachment and try to send my fax…
It failed, as I don’t have my modem, but it tried to go out…
I’m running NT4 and winfax pro 10.0
This might help…
Kind regardsApril 10, 2002 at 4:24 am #4235AnonymousMemberglad that worked out for you.
if your fax was delivered to winfax, then it should have no problem with the sending (as winfax takes care of the sending of the fax)April 10, 2002 at 8:04 am #4236AnonymousMemberHi Moderator,
So, what happend to tyhe ones who don’t have that running as a service ?
I guess I’m not the only one… ?
Kind regardsApril 12, 2002 at 1:06 am #4237AnonymousMemberthose services run in win NT/2000, but to use any of the SDK functions you need to have the Controller (wfxctl32.exe) running (and you need to be logged in)
