As Administrator of a law company, we are used to use Winfax for broadcasts of fax in H.K.. Everything goes smooth with the Winfax 10.04 on our Window XP and Window 2000.

We broadcasts fax using two modems at the same time. Recently we come to an idea to broadcast with one or two additonal modem, but Winfax 10.04 warns that it only support two active modems.

Does Winfax 10.04 support more than two modems? We really wanna it can support three or four modems for our broadcasting.

2 modems can only be used on one PC. You can configure multiple hosts, and each host can have 2 modems..so you could setup two different hosts, run a merge on one machine to one host and another merge on the other host. 4 modems are sending faxes now.

or, you can use another software to send faxes as Host that uses WinFax PRO as a front end. Those two are http://www.faxback.com and http://www.rightfax.com

Without using the two new software (rightfax…faxback.com software), how can I configure two new hosts with Winfax 10.04…?

Same as you configured the first host. the steps are the same

U mean I dont need to reinstall another instance of Winfax 10.04. But just double click another Winfax controller. But I think it is not what u mean. How can I open another instance of Winfax (i.e. what u mean by another instance of host)?

You need to install another Host on another machine and another client on another machine.

John and Admin., are u referring to winfax client sharing with hosts. I am using one single pc for broadcasting at this moment. So how can I use three or four modem on one single pc without winfax sharing.

you cannot use more than 2 modem in a single pc. you have to install a new pc with 2 modems, make this a host machine. You can have multiple hosts and multiple clients
