I have tried everything including to the recdoemended symantic solution of runing the “insprint.exe” file. I never got the message printer driver installed though.
In any case, I’m unsure if service xp pact 2 is repsonsible.
Did anyone here havethe sam eproblem? Is there a work around soilutions?
I even deleted all my files and directory since 1999!!!

Do you have any other printers installed under Windows XP? Have you tried installing a HP Laserjet printer driver and then try installing WinFax. By installing the HP Laserjet drivers, the appropriate printer files get installed and might allow the WinFax printer driver to install properly.
You can then remove the HP drivers after everything is working.
