I know Symantec never tested WinFax PRO 10.0 with Windows XP, so I’m thinking this could be a problem with incompatibility with Windows XP dutch version. If you can get version 10.02 (which is supposed to be XP compatible) you can try that. Otherwise, I think the problem is the Windows XP Dutch version.

It seems I payed eur.99,99 for a programm that I not can use. Nowhere in the product information I found that WinFax is NOT compatible with the Dutch version of Windows XP.
    I am very disappointed.

I would contact Symantec and ask, because I am not aware of any other solution.
They will offer money back if it does not work on your system

Here is a document from Symantec regarding Windows XP that may help,

I found out that, when I uninstall servicepack 1 and then install WinFax 10,0 it works oke. But when I install servicepack 1 from Windows XP again, the problem is back.
    🙁

even with Symantec’s suggestions with Service Pack 1 in the document listed above, you still received the error message ?
Looks like WinFax has a problem with Service Pack 1 of Windows XP.

Symantec has released 10.03 version, if you still want to try maybe get this version and install.
