Try the following:
Delete the WinFax printer from Control Panel.
Delete the WinFax (photo quality) printer from Control Panel.
End All WinFax Tasks in WinFax Tools. Yes to end port starter.
Close WinFax Tools.Click Start, Run, type NET STOP SPOOLER
Manually locate and delete the following WinFax printer related driver Files:
Delete these files if they exist:
windowssystem32spooldriversw32x862wfxdnt40.dll
windowssystem32spooldriversw32x862wfxdnthq.dll
windowssystem32spooldriversw32x862wfxunt40.dllwindowssystem32spooldriversw32x86wfxdnt40.dll
windowssystem32spooldriversw32x86wfxdnthq.dll
windowssystem32spooldriversw32x86wfxunt40.dllwindowssystem32spoolprtprocsw32x86wfxpnt40.dll
DO NOT remove the winfax.fad files in both these folders.
if any of the above files report that it cannot be deleted because it is in use, you need to leave those files as-is, delete the ones that can be removed and then reboot the computer and go back and delete the files that could not be removed previously.
Click Start, Run, type NET START SPOOLER
Start WinFax Tools.
Click on Install & Setup Tools
Click on Install Printer Driver.
Verify both printer drivers are installed in Control Panel, Printers. (Show Printers)
Click Start Controller.
Attempt test page on WinFax & WinFax (Photo Quality) printer drivers. -
