USB Fax Voice Modem Conexant Hardware Based Fax and Voice Modem

This hardware USB fax modem includes TAPI voice and type 1 Caller ID support. It is compatible with many Microsoft Windows TAPI based applications that use Caller ID, Fax, Data, and Voice recording/playback. The modem includes a 4th Generation CX93010 controller-based fax modem chipset from Conexant® that integrates a micro-controller (MPU), digital signal processor (DSP), memory and a SmartDAA® (DAA) interface onto a single board. The modem easily plugs into a free USB port on your computer. The automatic plug and play driver included with Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8.x and 7 SP1 (support for both 64 bit and 32 bit) allows for quick and easy installation.

Unlike other vendors, we also include a digitally signed Windows 11/10/8/7 (SP1) modem driver for voice playback and recording support for Windows TAPI applications that do not use passthrough mode.

This modem is also a hardware-based modem replacement for the discontinued US Robotics 5637 (USR5637) USB modem.  If your application developer recommends this modem, this is a compatible replacement.

    I am very happy with my Conexant USB Data Fax Voice Modem Windows 11/10/8/7 purchase. I appreciated receiving the email that included links to install drivers, etc. and that an install CD was included with the modem. I installed this on a new Windows 11 PC and encountered the following two items (not the fault of the modem) I would like to share to help others. The first is that I had to disable my antivirus program before I was able to access the driver file either by emailed link or included CD. Specific to Windows 11, I had to uninstall/install Windows Fax and Scan in Windows Optional Features before I could create a fax account. This also happened with another modem. Many thanks!
