I have tried both procedures. The Viewer behaves as before, it only opens for just a second ( literally ) , then closes.

after clicking on a saved fax file ( saved in another directory ) the fax viewer can be seen to open a box for about 1/2 second ( literally !).

Opening from the Tools/ Fax Viewer produces the same result.
Double click on an entry in the Fax Log ( received or Sent) the fax opens, with the title bar showing “Winfax PRO Viewer – (file name)”. This can also be used to go from File/ Open to open up a fax file saved elsewhere than the default directory.
