Importing a WinFax PRO cover page (.cvp) into FaxTalk

WinFax PRO cover pages (.cvp files) cannot be imported directly into FaxTalk. If you have an existing custom cover page in WinFax PRO, you will need to recreate the cover page in FaxTalk.

FaxTalk ships with a selection of different coversheet templates for you to use. You may want to use the FaxTalk Coversheet Designer to modify one of the included coversheets to better fit your needs or simply to create a new coversheet template from scratch.

If logos or graphics are used on the cover sheet they must be in .BMP graphic format before you can use them within a FaxTalk cover sheet.

Coversheet templates support the addition of custom logos and graphics. Since the layout of a coversheet template is completely customizeable, you have complete control in the look of the coversheet. Logos can be created in any graphics package that supports saving a graphic to a Windows bitmap (.BMP) format such as Windows Paint or Adobe Photoshop.

When creating logos, keep the follow guidelines in mind:

Avoid using gradients, fills, or grays in your logo. These patterns transmit very slowly.
Create your graphic at a resolution of 200 x 200 dpi
Use only monochrome (2-color) images, and be sure to obey the size/resolution limits listed above.
Once your logo is created, save it as a Windows bitmap (.bmp).
Once the logo has been saved as a bitmap, use the Bitmap annotation object in the FaxTalk Coversheet Designer to add the logo to a coversheet template.

You can use the bitmap annotation object to add graphics such as logos and signatures to a coversheet template.

To add a bitmap:

On the Insert menu, click Bitmap.
In the Look in box, click the location where the file is located.
In the File name box, type/select a name for the file.
Double-click the bitmap file you want to add to the coversheet template.
