Try this:
Line 1 : AT&F&C1&D2S7=90
Line 2 : AT&K4Uncheck “Use hardware flow control”
or try
Line 1: AT&F&C1&D2S7=90
Line 2 : ATQ1Uncheck “Use hardware flow control”
if you are receiving faxes that are failing from the same person, try a different fax machine. It is possible the fax machine that is sending to you is incompatible with your fax modem. In that case, install and use a different fax modem.

February 1, 2007 at 9:43 pm in reply to: WINDOWS VISTA Compatibility – Please post experiences with WinFax PRO #5383AnonymousMemberTry executing WTNSETUP.EXE in your WinFax directory. This will reconfigure WinFax PRO.
the big test is can you click on File, Print (to WinFax) from within any application in Windows Vista? Does WinFax generate a fax page that you can send?
Also, you cannot install 10.04 update patch overtop WinFax PRO 10.02 (only can patch overtop a 10.03 installation)

Steps are indicated on the Trendnet web page link

AnonymousMemberThese type of errors indicate another application is using the modem or accessing the modem, or a possible problem with the TAPI configuration in Windows.
Here are some steps you can try:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT….9431004TAPI / WinFax related documents
TAPI+WinFax Search Knowledge baseAnonymousMemberWhere do you enable automatic receive, within WinFax by clicking on Setup dialog, Receive, or by right-clicking the Controller icon and turning on the “Automatic Receive” option? Do you then exit the controller, or shut down the Message Manager (WinFax PRO application) ? once you exit and restart WinFax PRO, do you start the Controller manually, or Message Manager? or do you reboot the computer and allow WinFax PRO controller to start automatically? At this point, does the controller show automatic receive turned on, or off?
by running WTNSETUP.EXE, it is like setting up WinFax again for the first time. It configures all the registry key settings that it requires, such as receive setup, modem setup, etc. If for any reason, a registry key is missing or is corrupt, re-running WTNSETUP.EXE can usually fix it. It won’t fix any problems related to a missing file, since it does not reinstall any specific files (a reinstall is required for that).
It is recommended that if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself, you should bring it to the attention of a service person that can take a look at it for you. I generally recommend running a WTNSETUP as a 2nd to last ditch effort to resolve a problem, prior to a complete uninstall/reinstall.
January 24, 2007 at 4:49 pm in reply to: Quick Cover window unpredictable – QC window opens when Custom cover chosen #4228AnonymousMemberLikely a problem with timing, since you are using AddAttachmentFile, WinFax is probably starting some other application to print the documents you are attaching. Make sure you don’t continue until WinFax is done printing.

always back up!!!
🙂AnonymousMembertry this to remove the “previous installation…” message
Search for file(s) WFXUNIST.ISU, WFXBOOT.INI and WFXINST.LOG. If any of these are found, delete them.
Now, reboot the PC and reinstall WinFax PRO. The “previous install” message should no longer appear.
January 20, 2007 at 1:44 am in reply to: Importing data from old 10.02 to new 10.02 – what a nightmare! #7421AnonymousMemberI could not find any reference to stato*.* files in Italian version, and this is all I could find on Symantec Italian site
if the Italian version uses stato*.* files, then those are the files you should have in your data directory (if you have Italian WinFax PRO 10.02 installed) because the English version 10.02 will look at STATUS*.* files
therefore, the file you need to check is not called STATUS3.WFX, but STATO3.WFX?
January 19, 2007 at 9:06 pm in reply to: Importing data from old 10.02 to new 10.02 – what a nightmare! #7419AnonymousMemberCan you post a copy of your STATUS3.WFX file here? I would like to see what it contains, because what you describe should indicate multiple copies of the same fax file listed in this STATUS3.WFX file. I believe this is the file the tells the log what faxes to display for a specific log entry.
This is what an example STATUS3.WFX file (with the blank spaces) would look like:

DO NOT edit this file with a text editor, or something else , you should use a HEX editor. Otherwise, it may cause the file to be saved in another format, and will corrupt your log structure. Make a back up if you plan on editing this file.

January 19, 2007 at 8:10 pm in reply to: Importing data from old 10.02 to new 10.02 – what a nightmare! #7417AnonymousMemberI’m lost here, are you saying that your logs all point to the same fax files?
WinFax uses an algorithm so different faxes never, ever have the same filename. They are not sequential either, so if you receive a 2 page fax now, the filename may be 6578001.fxr, 6578002.fxr. If you receive another 2 page fax, it won’t ever have the same filename (and it won’t likely be similar like 6579001.fxr, 6579002.fxr) but probably 2365001.fxr, 2365002.fxr etc. even if the fax was received immediately after the first one.
You might have duplicate fax logs, and that is why they are displaying the same filenames?
